Glen Richardson was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago in a family of small business owners and entrepreneurs. He learned about the opportunities, successes, and challenges that come with owning a business through dinner table conversations, as family members owned businesses in a variety of industries including janitorial distribution, hospitality, food & beverage, and real estate.

Glen’s upbringing drove him to pursue a career in business and investing. Over the last decade he has held roles as a private equity investor at The Carlyle Group and as an investment banker at Lazard.

At Carlyle, Glen specialized in industrial and business services investing, evaluating hundreds of companies, and playing a key role in deploying capital in new investments and overseeing portfolio companies with more than $6 billion of equity invested.

Glen founded Meadow Equity Partners to return to his small business roots and acquire high-quality businesses to own and operate with a multi-decade time horizon.
